Talking about digestive issues is very humbling, needless to
say humiliating.
So I have wrestled for the past six months whether or not to share what I have gone through. But because it has been such a horrendous experience for me I decided to share my journey in hopes that it might help that one person out there that feels caged in their body.

I have always struggled with constipation; my mom says that
I was constipated from the time she brought me home from the hospital. I have childhood memories of sitting for long
periods trying to go and that followed into adulthood. It became so bad at one point that I couldn’t leave the house in fear that I would be stuck somewhere
trying to go. I am talking about
straining to the point of breaking blood vessels on my face, and being left
with bloody hemorrhoids, and an aching anal.
(Like I said before…very humbling thing to talk about) I understand why God cursed with hemorrhoids
because they are very debilitating.

Now I am sure you, like many
doctors in my life, are asking the question why didn't you take some fiber
supplements…or eat more fiber…or take stool softeners…. Or will say… if you would have eaten more veggies…
believe me when I tell you I had done all of that. The fiber supplements would turn to concrete
in my system. The stool softeners never
work and I feared that I was becoming addicted to laxatives because I was
taking more and more of them without any improvements. I was raised on fresh
veggies, and lean meats, and had been through the weight watchers programs so I
had a good foundation for eating right.
However, I did eat sugar, fast food, and all things white.
